Mission: The mission of the Consortium for Innovations in Education is to provide leadership and support to the participating school districts resulting in increased external funding for projects which work towards the established mission of the grantee's organization. As an advocate for grant writing, the office will serve as a regional resource center specializing in educational grants information and technical assistance. The mission is intended to complement to missions of each of the school districts, Murray State University, and West Kentucky Educational Cooperative.
Objectives:
| | - Increase the interest and broaden the participation of the grant-writing teams in the development of proposals for externally funded contracts and grants.
| | | - Disseminate information on funding opportunities, program guidelines, application materials, and other relevant information in a timely and convenient manner.
| | | - Provide assistance to teams in the conceptualization, preparation, and processing of proposal.
| | | - Establish contacts with and collect information from funding source in both the public and private sectors.
| | | - Assist in the formulation and implementation of a comprehensive plan that will help prioritize and enhance efforts to obtain external funding.
| | | - Develop and write proposals to enhance the mission of the Consortium.
| | | - Offer and participate in professional development activities, which facilitate the growth of the Consortium.
| | | - Create and maintain a positive and energizing office environment, which fosters organization and creativity.
