2010 Summer Institute

Ron Clark is the Keynote Speaker for the Summer Institute co-sponsored by the West Kentucky Special Education Cooperative and the Calloway County Regional Training Center. Ron Clark will open the conference on July 20 (Day 1). Clark is known for is ability to raise test scores by using unique and innovative methods that incorporate innovation, creativity and 55 classroom rules. Co-founder of the school, Kim Bearden, will complete the day with a three hour session, "Lessons for Lively Learners" and "How to Have a Creative Classroom and Still Score High on Standardized Tests". Copies of Mr. Clark's books, The Essential 55 as well as The Excellent 11 will be available onsite and an opportunity for an autographed copy will be provided.

Additional sessions addressing differentiated instruction (Day 2 & 3), reading and writing assessments (Day 3), assistive technology (Day 2), preschool (Day 2 & 3), IEP (Day 3), Kansas Strategies (Day 2) will be offered July 21-22.
