iPad Essentials Workshop Description
This hands-on workshop focuses on how to efficiently and effectively use the iPad digital tablet device. Apple advertises that the iPad is packed with special capabilities, and that the iOS5 alone has over 200 new features. In this workshop you will learn tips and tricks for using some of the most valuable features, which can save you a significant amount of time and effort. With over 140,000 apps just for the iPad, it is also imperative for you to know which apps are most beneficial for educators. All workshop participants will download free apps in the workshop and get first-hand experience.
Burke Hatch – Presenter
Burke Hatch began his career as a Microsoft support specialist, having completed his B.A. in Marketing Communications and Business Management. He soon moved into the academic world, supporting university students with technical support and on‐line learning training. His career path led him to provide professional development seminars and provided IT support on site for schools all over the country.
Burke enjoys showing administrators and teachers how technology is changing the dynamics of how we teach and how we learn. Burke shows educators how easy and enjoyable it can be to use the technology.
