WKEC staff accept a $997,072 check from first district Congressman Ed Whitfield to support a three year Teaching American History Grant project.
The local grant, called TAHOE: ID (Teaching American History Opportunities for Educators: In-Depth) will support K-12 professional development activities for American history teachers among the 14 districts in the Cooperative’s Consortium for Innovations in Education, or CIE.

WKEC leases a 4,200 sq. ft. building located at the West Kentucky Outlet Mall in Eddyville, Kentucky. The space has been converted into a spacious meeting and conference center equipped with tables and seating for groups up to 125 participants. The Cooperative utilizes this center to focus and expand the delivery of high quality professional development opportunities to education throughout the service region.
